Timeline

2026-2028

Align strategies, build acceptance, and create a robust ecosystem.

The Interreg PACT-H2 project aims to strengthen the cross-border hydrogen sector within the Greater Region. Building on an industrial heritage marked by steel and metallurgy, and on the potential of former fossil fuel sites, the project aims to build a regional ecosystem dedicated to hydrogen.

The project’s strategy is based on three thematic work areas:

Governance

The “Governance” WP focuses on harmonising regional hydrogen strategies and establishing a permanent exchange platform for ministries.

Awareness

In the “Awareness” WP, communication formats such as citizen dialogues are being developed to increase the acceptability of hydrogen technologies among the general public and specific target groups.

Acceptance

Finally, the “Acceptability” WP includes the scientific evaluation of the measures implemented, as well as the drafting of an acceptance guide, which will be integrated into the joint strategy.
